And here's something in the same area the day after the last posted event starts.
MediaPost (they're behind these events) is a recent find for me. I'm still exploring all they have to offer.
Here's what they are thinking over there:
"What is the appropriate way for my company to enter the social networking space? Should my company be involved with social networking at all? What metrics are out there to let me measure the success of my social media initiatives? Where are examples of companies who have been successful with their social media initiatives? What companies have failed, and why? How should my social media efforts coordinate with other parts of my media mix, and how is social media being integrated to new platforms, such as mobile?"

5th Annual B2B Demand Generation 2008 West
Marketing Sherpa is producing this event for you! They seem to be an excellent organization.
The teaser? Here ya go...
"Times are tough for B-to-B marketers. Just how tough? According to MarketingSherpa’s latest research (which you can hear at the San Francisco B-to-B Demand Generation Summit, Oct 26-28) budget cuts are on the way for most marketers.
"B-to-B Demand Generation Summit is a conference that not only gives you invaluable Case Studies and training (with heavy focus on ROI), but perhaps more importantly during these times, it is a place that you can talk to your peers about your issues and get timely feedback from fellow marketing professionals."

Cool claim:

NYC 2-Day Info Products Event with Bob
Alck, went digging for this too late and now it is sold out.
It's going to be good too, check it out!
Most authors can't seem to earn a decent living. Unless you're in the small minority (like Stephen King, for instance) you're probably living from paycheck to paycheck. And I'm sure that's not what you want for yourself and your family.
Maybe you're not even making enough as a writer to work at it full time. Maybe you're working a "day job" to keep the income steady.
It doesn't have to be that way.
The simple truth is this: if you're interested in publishing books and other information products, you need to come to the Publishing Seminar. If you're an author or publisher (or aspiring to be one) this is THE event to attend. You could choose to attend events given by bigger "names" in the field, but I guarantee you that you will NOT learn nearly as much as you will here.
You CAN get the DVDs, just go here:

The Secret of Attracting the Life You Want
What would your life be like if you could accomplish anything and everything you want?
Would you buy a bigger house?
Would you go into business for yourself?

Every single thing in your life right now—your bank account, your relationships, your health and fitness and all that you have intellectually, emotionally and spiritually—is your own personal creation. It's a direct reflection of who you are and what you continually attract into your life.

Web 2.0 Expo
Next in this series is Web 2.0 Expo
"The pioneers of the 2.0 world innovate so quickly that it's difficult to stay abreast of new developments and trends. Meanwhile, the true depth of the impact of the Web 2.0 movement is just beginning to show in the enterprise, as companies move cautiously towards 2.0 technologies, processes, marketing strategies and ways of thinking.
"Web 2.0 Expo extends the principles, practices and tools of Web 2.0 to a broad audience, bridging the safe center with the disruptive edges. It provides a testing ground for new ideas while helping businesses articulate the advantages of a 2.0 strategy and overcome the obstacles posed by legacy technology and thinking."

I just found out about this one 'a little bird (on twitter) told me' ;)
"When it comes to selling your services, getting your foot in the door is only half the challenge. Presenting your message so that it “lands” and “sticks” is the other half. Your goal is to move your audience or client to a particular action. That won’t happen unless your message is understood and, even more important, remembered."

Affiliate Incubator Report: Theresa Powell, Ticket Winner
Theresa Powell Reporting Back From Affiliate Incubator in Dallas, TX. Recall that Theresa won the ticket I had to offer for Affiliate Incubator this year because I couldn't go...
I had a great time and met some really good people. I was impressed with the information and the speakers which I am not impressed easily! It wasn't the most sophisticated seminar I have ever attended, BUT it was the most REAL seminar I have attended.
What I mean is this, the speakers gave real information that you could apply and benefit from even if you didn't buy any of their extended program offers. Most seminars do not deliver usable information. Unfortunately for the attendee, most seminars just tease you and you must buy more product to implement one piece of information.
Also, they had recent and current student testimonials proving that they are earning their big bucks through "Affiliate Marketing" and not just raking in monies from seminars. The purpose of their seminars wasn't to generate more income (although it was a plus), but to hunt other potential Affiliate Marketers to incorporate into their thriving businesses. Great way to do that....don't you think?
The information given throughout the seminar was "mind blowing" to say the least. People in the audience where from all over the world. London, Colorado, Wyoming, Florida, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington State and so on. The speakers were warm and approachable.
This was truly one of the best seminars I have attended in ages! Thank you so much for your generous gift. Stephanie and I are going to partner up and try the video idea first. I will be speaking in November at our eBay group "Back to Basics" class on my experience.
The two absolute best programs that were offered is the "Traffic Geyser" created by Frank Sousa & Mike Koenigs and Russell Brunson's "business expansion" programs. Russell Brunson and Stu McLaren are a couple of powerhouses that are on a good road to benefiting the good of all interested. I wish them much success.
Anik Singal made the whole "Affiliate Marketing" look like child's play. Anik is so laid back and easy going. Ryan Deiss, Perry Belcher and John Barker presented a realization to the audience that anyone could do "Affiliate Marketing" if you possess the desire. Everyone of these speakers achieved success because they followed a simple work model. A work model that can be followed by anyone.
Stu and Russell emphasized that the secret to their success was "FOCUS". The secret to their "Affiliate Marketing" success was 1.) Traffic (which is where Traffic Geyser" fits in), 2.) Conversion (Russell's programs champion this subject), AND 3.) relationship w/the customer.
It was a grinding 3 full, long days of very valuable information and an education that I wouldn't trade for all the "tea in China". I feel blessed by the experience and I am positive that this will not be my last "Affiliate Marketing" seminar exposure.
Best regards, Theresa Powell
Oh, by the way.........I took 78 pages of notes and purchased the live seminar CD's at a great value of $97.........the only downfall is that the CD's are audio only and not visual.....there were many power point charts used that would have been beneficial re-viewing via an audio/visual CD package.....there was so much information to pack into 3 days that many of the power point slides were viewed too quickly to make full notes.....Theresa
Theresa Powell lists her ebay sales with ID: DelaynaRyanCollectibles
"Later, I plan to have my own web site as the pro-marketers suggest. By October end, folks can find me on www.RubyLane.com under the same m.o. - DelaynaRyanCollectibles were I will be selling vintage & retro jewelry pieces that are hard to find along w/other collectibles in my upcoming Ruby Lane store venue.
"I am an assistant organizer for the biggest eBay group via MeetUp.com founded by Stephanie Inge, eBaybes & eMales. Appreciate all the publicity I/we can get! Thanks!
"If there is room to mention one more eBay ID or store in this case, could you mention Stephanie's store, "Texas State of Mind". Stephanie sells authentic New Fossil purses and such. Without my best gal pal & business partner, I would not be were I am concerning on-line sales."
[Stephanie helped me find a winner for my Affiliate Incubator ticket!]

MobiKUI'08
Hot Stuff Mobile interfacing. Here's a mouthful from their site:
Mobile and Kinetic User Interfaces
"This workshop aims at gathering researchers and practitioners interested in interaction with mobile and pervasive computer systems through motion of people and everyday objects. Ubiquitous Computing advocates the fact that computing technology can be embedded in everyday life objects. Since we typically move entities in physical space, we consider important that these entities be capable of location and motion awareness. There are several scenarios where networked moving entities can be exploited at different spatial scales, from tabletops, to rooms, buildings, cities, and even larger spaces. In these scenarios, interaction takes places by either triggering system’s reaction from the recognition of selected motion patterns of objects and people in structured spaces (e.g. tables, rooms, cities) or by observing longer-term activities. The topics of the workshop are also related to a new trend in mobile and UbiComp, namely Activity-oriented Interaction Design."

Jeff Johnson's Underground Training Lab
A relatively recent find, I'm not sure what's in store for you at Jeff Johnson's Workshop. Let's see what they write. BTW, I LOVE Detroit! I was there in May 2004 and it reminded me so much of Cleveland, Ohio where I lived for many years. I felt right at home.
Looks like you will get a free trial membership when you attend this event and he is willing to share his whole business - it's a win/win for all concerned. I like the sound of that!

Now Offering: Custom Searches 4 U!
===================================
Over the past few months, many people have needed to find Internet Marketing Seminars in a specific local, for a certain time period or by a certain host.
I'm now offering these searches in a formal manner.
===================================
If you are looking for something in particular, I can do that search for you starting at $7.77! Let's say you want to know about everything in Los Angeles. I'll do a search for you and send that info along to you in an excel spreadsheet.
If you want everything in Los Angeles for 2009, I'll ask for a little more and you'll have your fully sortable Seminar List for THAT search.
Tell you what, I'll even update that for you at no extra charge for the next 30 days!
Just 'reply' to my message with Your Custom Search, within that time frame, and I'll pull another list with those parameters for you!

Illuminate 2008
Alejandro Reyes was so grateful for all that Internet Marketing has done for him, he created a Seminar with that in mind. I really love the concept for this (even though i am more UU or pagan in my beliefs) so if this resonates with you, I urge you to check them out: Illuminate 2008
Need a little incentive? Read what they say about Illuminate 2008
"Are You Finally Ready To Discover The Secret Behind What Makes Most People Online Successful And At The Same Time Have A Purposed Driven, Profitable Online Business?"
What is it worth to you to be trained by the best Christian Marketers in the world? If you're not making as much money in your online business as you hoped...If you just wish someone would cut through the hype & give you the solid marketing truth...
Then you need to come fellowship and hang with myself and 12 of my Internet Marketing friends at the Illuminate Conference.

ESOZone
Don't freak out! This Seminar may seem a little off the wall. I still think it might be worth checking out - if you think it would serve your needs!
A Preview:
Although ESOZONE : the other tomorrow takes place formally within the walls of The Watershed Building, it is an immersive experience that begins precisely the moment one decides to arrive there. It is itself a collage of happenings that cannot properly be recorded or spoken of, as it can only be experienced first hand and colored by individual experience. Esozone is what you, the participant, make of it.
The intent behind Esozone is to create a space for post-reality denizens to exchange ideas, play together, and indulge their senses. It is an attempt to bring esoteric subjects to new people, and bring esoteric people out of the woodwork. It is a place for new art to arise and creative catalysts to be unleashed.

Nashville Startup Weekend
Watch these closely my friend! I think these are a wonderful way to meet like-minded folks in your area and get business ideas going. I have seen them vaporize in a flash too though!
Let's see, what's special about this one...
As of 8/26/08:
"Currently we have over 120 people participating in active conversations at the unofficial NSW site."
Yes, this one still looks active. Please, please check this and EVERY event before booking flights, hotel rooms and hiring a car! I've seen even the most solid organizations and people have to cancel for all sorts of reasons. I only know so much and report to you in a 'snapshot' fashion and things CHANGE! after I report and at the last minute.
Protect yourself by verifying everything you read, here and elsewhere for that matter! Make your experience the best it can be by doing your OWN research into these things!
It will enhance your overall experience at:

Spread the Word 2008
Amazing the number of Internet Marketing Conferences & Seminars are held in Atlanta, Georgia! Here's one that is 'associated' with IM since it is more about book publishing.
I heard about it from Judith and Jim on twitter! What a good resource.
Are you watching the movers and shakers in YOUR niche on twitter? I rarely write 'what are you doing' there. I mostly read and reply to folks where I can to help or further the conversation (or just to be silly! ;).
Back to your Seminar here.
Imagine the satisfaction of knowing that your wisdom and experience are helping so many more people than you can reach now.
Imagine fulfilling your calling and passion in a broader scope and a grander scale so that you can dedicate yourself full time to spreading the word.
Imagine connecting with others who share the same passion, the same drive, and the same encompassing goal… benefiting the lives of others with a meaningful message.
OH, Tell 'em "Pam Hoffman" Sent ya!

GridNets 2008
Another recent find, this sounds pretty interesting and you are right in view of The "Bird's Nest" National Olympic Stadium. They have a beautiful picture of it on their site.
Here's a little something else from their site:
"The GridNets conference series is an annual international meeting that provides a focused and highly interactive forum where researchers and technologists have the opportunity to present and discuss leading research, developments, and future directions in the Grid networking area. The goal of this event is to serve as both the premier conference presenting best Grid Networking research and a forum where new concepts can be introduced and explored."

New DVD Set
Right before I went to Virginia to visit my daughter last month, I got the DVD set I ordered May'08. This is from a different group than the last set and they sure operated different too!
All along, as time went by, I kept getting different notices of what was happening with the product. Right before the set of DVDs came to me, they sent me an actual letter (!) explaining a little bit about what was happening and offering me a special on future purchases!
What a breath of fresh air this was.
THIS DVD SET IS LOADED WITH TERRIFIC INFORMATION TOO!
Not only was I kept well-informed, offered a little something to ease my pain of waiting so long (not really that long by comparison) I got a fantastic product.
I've been thru the whole thing once and a couple of the sections more times now. I know I'll be going over and over and over this material again. This is probably the best investment I have EVER made in my whole life!
I wish some spots were a bit better quality and sometimes, they forget to put the microphone in the hands of the user. I bet they will solve some of those issues in the future though!
I'm really excited about this item because I will be able to offer this to YOU soon too!
Details are forthcoming to me and when I figure out how to let you know too, I'll be back with the news!
This one product could make a big difference and I'm glad I'm part of that process.
Stay Tuned!

Big Boy Workshop
Matt Bacak does several events each year.
I've done a few different things for individuals who were looking for events. You can get this too: a specific search done for your location, wherever you are in the world, being one of them!
A few weeks ago, a well-known online marketer was looking for information about Matt's upcoming events. She'd been hounding him for two weeks. I got wind of this need (on twitter!) and got the next three events coming up in about 1 day and then I told her when I had them!
Here's the next one:

"I remember thinking...
...to myself, "What was the one thing that shifted my business?" and all I could think of was because I went to LIVE events. The funny thing is the majority of the successful people that I talk to tell me the same thing, "LIVE EVENTS changed my business."

The Aloha Social Media Summit
This is also a recent find. Dave Taylor added his message about this on twitter and I captured in my database for you earlier this month.
Weird that it says 'aloha' and makes me think Hawai'i yet it's in Boulder, Colorado!
What can we learn here. Hhmmm....
Social Media Training in Paradise!
Don't waste your precious time at yet another week-long, over-crowded, finger-numbingly cold, and PowerPoint-nausea-inducing conference.
Let the fun and relaxing environment of our facility and our Aloha spirit envelope you as you join social media marketing experts in a relaxed and personalized two-day summit in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
The Aloha Social Media Summit Colorado is not your traditional marketing conference.
See what I mean? I guess if you are Colorado, thinking Hawai'i in October might help. ;)

Introduction to Business Success
Wanna Learn from a Multi-Billionaire? Here's one way, come to Bill Bartmann's Introduction to Business Success!
From Bill's Site:
"How to Start, Grow and Sell a Business"
"Owning a business has brought ruin to enumerable people. Obviously, it’s important to get it right. If you are currently a business owner or if you think you want to be a business owner, then this is the seminar for you. Creating a business can serve you and your loved ones for generations."
Even if you are working an online business, it's worth knowing something about business to help yourself avoid THOSE pitfalls! It's hard enough getting going already. Do yourself a favor, check this out:
Introduction to Business Success
October 6-10, 2008
Palm Springs, CA
And if you'd like something more ongoing, check out Bill's new site: Billionaire Business Systems. Bill wants to turn around the business failure rate in the USA. It's currently high 80s to 90s. What if that were changed and only 10-20% businesses failed annually.
If there's someone to learn from, Bill is a good choice IMHO!

Blog World Expo: A Report from JoeTech
Guest post from: JoeTech:
I had never been to the BlogWorld and New Media Expo before. I'd heard a lot about it, especially about BlogWorld 2007, but I wasn't quite as serious about blogging back then, either.
Things have changed and this year. As my blog grows, I find it more and more important to find new tools and sites to help it grow.
When I go, there's a lot I do to get my money's worth:
Brand Recognition A key focus for me at BWE08 was getting my brand name, "Joe Tech" and logo more recognized. What better place to get my business card and brand in front of the right people than THE blogging expo of the year?
Just remember to bring a lot of cards and always have them with you. If I spoke to
someone within the walls of the expo, they usually had my card in their hand before we parted ways. Learn from Experts No matter how good you think you are, there's usually someone better.
I paid the extra $300 for Full Access so I could take advantage of the panels. Good panels are comprised of experienced speakers who are known as experts in their fields, and focus on topics that will help the rest of us get a little further up the food chain. The panels I attended included such speakers as John Chow, ShoeMoney, Zac Johnson, etc. Reading their blogs is helpful, but having the opportunity to sit in the same room and get real-time answers to your questions is invaluable.
If you're serious about blogging and can afford it, you should attend the panels.
Although I only attended the few that I felt were very important at the time, there were about 50 to choose from, so you can't go wrong.
Visit Every Booth OK... Admittedly, there will be booths that you know will hold no value for you, and you can skip those, but hit all the rest. The companies you've never heard of are some of the most important because skipping over them may mean missing out on some great software, monetization opportunities, information, or business contacts.
I found what may be (pending testing) an incredible tool for blog posts, because I
went to every booth and talked to everyone I could. Visit the booths of the companies you're already familiar with, too. Visiting the SezWho booth, I was provided with an opportunity to share suggestions for updates they might add, a stop at the Unique Blog Designs helped me learn that they're also in Arizona (we'll probably sync up for a beer soon enough), and a quick hello at the Market Leverage booth turned into a spontaneous marketing opportunity with John Chow.
Don't forget to take your business cards with you and ask questions. Being there in person makes question asking so much easier.
Be Social I am a shy person in the flesh. It can take some deep digging, but I try my best to come out of my shell for these events.
Don't be afraid to go up and say hello to someone if you recognize them or their blog name. Have conversations, and above all, go to the parties you can get into.
Social events are relaxed and open a lot of people up to new contacts. It's also a nice relaxing distraction from the "business" end of things during the day. Still, bring those business cards, but try to have some fun. You'll still make contacts and can swap cards if it doesn't feel pushy.
Twitter It, Blog It, Tag It These days, most of these events provide attendees with their preferred hash tags and keywords to use when talking about your time there.
For BlogWorld 2008, the standard is to tag all blog posts, videos, and photos with "bwe08" and on Twitter, include #bwe08 in any tweets.
Not only does this let the organizers know what you're talking about, but people searching for these tags will easily find your post, tweet, or media.
Additionally, your update may end up syndicated at the official site, which is a nice way to reach people who couldn't make it.
Come Prepared You'll be asked 100 times about the focus of your blog or what you write about. Know your answer. Bring your business cards, a note pad and a couple pens, some way to post from the event (laptop, smart phone), a narrowed down schedule of just the panels and events you plan to attend, and medications to aid with headache, sinuses, etc. Bring a camera and extra batteries. Everything is so much more relaxing when it runs smoothly.

Armand Morin does it again! His twice annually event (rumor has it that it will be annually soon!) is coming to Atlanta again in October!
I noticed that he moved away from a strictly video message this time around. To me that says that it wasn't entirely successful. That is why these famous marketers TEST EVERYTHING, and you should too!
It also helps me bring this tidbit to you now...

I love this part:

They continue:
"Leads cost money … sometimes BIG money. And if you’re still contacting your prospects by mail only, then you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. And I refuse to let this situation continue…
"You see, I’ve developed systems that converts more of your leads into cash paying customers while slashing your costs. System that are predictable, affordable, and takes very little time out from your busy schedule.

The She Factor: How to Find, Catch and Keep Your Share of the Female Market!
Here it is! I've been waiting for this one by Lorrie Morgan Ferrero. If there is any way, I'm going. It's not too far away and it's a very important event.
Lorrie says:
“It’s a Shame to See So Many Entrepreneurs Struggle When It Can Be SO EASY to Attract Much More Money WITHOUT Spending More on Marketing…”
"I Know the Secrets, and I’M TELLING!!"
Even more importantly:
It’s a whole new world out there with fast-changing technology and super savvy consumers. And if you haven’t noticed, the market to reach has changed too. It used to be that masculine, testosteronal driven marketing worked like gangbusters to sell, sell, sell. No more. That’s because it’s the WOMEN who make 85% of the buying decisions…across EVERY BRAND!
(Yes, even the ones you wouldn’t think of like sporting merchandise, motorcycles, SUVs, real estate, electronics, even handguns!) Women are leading the way with their wallets.
And women want to be treated differently! In fact they demand it or they simply go play in someone else’s sandbox.

Think Tank 2008
Now this sounds like a wild bunch! I'm not even sure that mere mortals like you and I can get into this one!
If it sounds good to you, go for it! It's tempting to crash the hotel at least (this isn't that far from me ;).
Here's a little info from their site/blog/something:
People told me they wanted to go to an Internet business event that focused on Networking and learning from each other, in a casual environment."Fascinating" --Mr. Spock of Star Trek
I have created a small end of the Summer Camp in San Diego, where we can exchange ideas, make friends, have fun and grow. It is two days (plus a bit more) of food, fun, friends, and fiestas.
The original inspiration for this event was the fact that we are part of what I consider to be the most powerful group of people in the world. The few thousand most powerful people in the Internet world influence what millions, if not billions of people know and think around the world. We can get information to the public faster, cheaper and more efficiently than television, radio, newspaper, or books.

Podcamp Ireland
How cool is this? This is my very first Seminar I get to list in the country of Ireland!
You know about Podcamp already, right?
Here's a little bit they wrote up about their LAST Podcamp (i didn't know about Podcamp last year!):
PodCamp Ireland (2007) took place in Kilkenny and was a terrific day of where we heard from newcomers and experts in social media in Ireland and beyond. Over 70 people attended the inaugural event and you can relive some of the moments via our Jaiku channel, uStream.tv channel (video) and in picture format through flickr.Podcamp Ireland
PodCamp Ireland is the very first stand-alone event to promote the use and provide guidance and tips on the subject of social media in Ireland.
Podcamp Ireland is an unconference. In other words it relies on the active engagement and collaboration of participants to make it happen. Everything about an unconference comes from the participants. That includes the topics which will be discussed, the time and place, and even the decision as to whether to hold such an event at all.
