Women's Business Empowerment Summit

I like the idea of this Internet Marketing Seminar. She combines a Seminar for women, Internet Marketing and a SPA! See:

Upon arrival to this luxury resort and spa, you'll find three towers in front with fire and water and expansive tropical grounds. From the hotel lobby living room, with its stunning stone fireplace and airy cathedral ceilings, you step out onto the patio and lush garden courtyard flowing into the sandy beach pool and a Mediterranean-inspired lagoon, as well as a torch-lit heated outdoor pool and hot tub surrounded by poolside cabanas and secluded fire pits.

In the full-service Jurlique spa you can pamper yourself with any number of treatments (think massages, body wraps, facials, manicures).

Well, why not? This should be good...

I love it....why shouldn't women lure their clients in with a relaxing, mind balancing retreat.
Men have been known to have their business conferences and along with those they have their so called fringe benefits to relax thier clients. I totally enjoyed reading this post.
Anything that will bring a positive balance to the workplace is a very good thing!
Thanks~D~

@mini IMSLS is here to help! Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

@dorothyl You might also like the philosophy of Lorrie Morgan Ferrero.

She is best known for copywriting and learned that the 'old school' way of doing things wasn't working too well because women (the ones mainly responsible for all the purchasing decisions in most households in the USA) weren't reacting to those sales pages with a purchase.

She does some fascinating work in this area and runs a Seminar about it too.

Thank you both for stopping by!

Hi Pam & All,

I'm here at the resort all week and will be attending this event at the end of the week. I attended her first one of these annual events and it was awesome overall. I learned some great tips and found some new resources. So, I thought I would attend again this year as an alumni.

When I signed up there were only about 9-10 speakers which was a lot for 3 days, but most of them looked to have interesting topics. So, I decided once again to attend. Now months later after signing up, I am very dismayed, disappointed and rather upset as Lynn Pierce changed the schedule dramatically from first opening her registration. A few people originally scheduled are there no longer and a HUGE influx of other "experts" and I use that term lightly have been added to the 3-Day roster. Keep in mind that it's 3 days.

The roster now holds a Overwhelming 19 Speakers. 19. For 3 Days? Who are you kidding. This workshop which was orginally very valuable for the past few years is positioning itself this year to be a "Pitch Fest." I thought this had been touted to not be a pitch fest.

Now maybe I'm crazy, but I just don't see how 19 Speakers in 3 DAYS, will be able to be anything other than just one pitch after another. I've attended dozens of workshops, seminars and training over the past 15 years as well as been in business for a decade. It is my experience that history shows for these types of overbilled events, that they simply don't hold true to their promises. 1 hour at best per speaker just doesn't deliver any more real value than what you can currently get by listening to the numerous free teleseminars being offered all throughout the business world right now. And, these free teleseminars are being done on any business topic and otherwise that you might be interested in. And, they're even being done by true experts.

Additionally, you would not have had to spend nearly $1000 + travel expenses to get the same information.

While it's not stacking up to be a valuable, profitable event, I do plan to stay open to hopefully being pleasantly surprised and delighted. Perhaps Lynn Pierce has some creative overall master plan for 19 speakers in 3 days.

I look forward to seeing how things shake out and will share a factual, honest evaluation here for others.

To Your Passionate Success...
CK

Hi CK!

Thank you for stopping by and for your 'voice of experience' which I find very valuable. 19 does sound like a lot for 3 days. It might work...

Do return when you are back from WBES and report what you learned. I'll be very interested to know what it was like for you.

Waiting with bated breath ;)
