Carl Galetti's Internet Marketing Super Conference

I've been following the pre-Seminar calls for this one. Learned some pretty darn interesting stuff too!

Carl Galletti's Internet Marketing Super Conference
June 19-22, 2008
Las Vegas, NV

Carl Galletti says..

"The SECRET to Internet marketing success lies in multiplying yourself. The really BIG money only comes from knowing how to get multiples of your investments in traffic, manpower, etc. And you can't get at any other seminar or in any ebook or other even some high priced program.

"This year's speakers have been specially chosen so you get the latest, up to the minute, know-how in this area."

Hi Pam,

This year, Carl had a great line up and most of them truly delivered. As usual, it was a small intimate conference with plenty of opportunities to connect with the speakers one-on-one. Talking with Carlos and Lupe Garcia over lunch was really eye opening. The amount of traffic they are getting on a strickly CPM model is staggering. The other highlight for me was Bruce Safron talking about LSI and Siloing. I will be changing how I structure my content sites based on the information he provided. It was one of the missing pieces to our upcoming project, Online Marketing Matrix. I should have another post up this week with more deyail on my blog, Kevin H Davis - Speaker, Mentor and Marketing Coach.

Hey Kevin!

Thanks for stopping by. Great information about Carl Galletti's Seminar.

I'm wondering about the terms you use: LSI and Siloing which Bruce Safron was talking about.

Care to write up an article about it for the IMSLS blog?

:)

Thanks,

Pam Hoffman

Hi Pam,

LSI is short for Latent Semantic Indexing which is now being used in many of the search engine algorithms. Here is an article with an overview from Wilson Web How Does Google Use Latent Semantic Indexing
Basically, LSI looks at the words on the webpages and takes a holistic approach towards it relevance to the rest of the page. It can also look at the context of how it is used. In the early days, we used to be able to get keyword stuffed articles ranked very well, and article ghost writers were making a killing. Now days, while you do have to know your target keywords, you must also be creating quality content made for humans, because the search engines are much smarter thanks to LSI. The example in the article is a webpage with apple and computer on it would more likely be relevant to Mac OS instead of Red Delicious Apples.

Siloing refers to how the content of a site is grouped together in distinct categories. In the past, we used to create sites in a mesh fashion with all of the pages of the site linked together in a continuous loop. With siloing, the pages of the site are grouped together in vertical markets and at one point end instead of looping back to the homepage. Here is another article I found tonight on Website Siloing

I haven't taken the time to go through my notes yet, and Robby keeps reminding me I need to revisit my blog and start posting again. This weekend is a holiday weekend, so maybe I can put together some more info and a training video on my blog.
